Been baking German Christmas biscuits - Pfefferkuche - for the first time today and they have turned out well. There's a gorgeous smell of spices floating in the air! Thanks to Chris and Andy for sharing your "secret family recipe" and for sending the spices.

Your Pfefferkuchen (engl. "pepper cakes" - although there's no pepper in them; the name dates back to mediaeval times when all spices were called "pepper") look almost like ours. And they taste like ours too I guess. ;-) And I can assure your that they improve with time.
