Team U2 Fans Support Haiti

A site has been created for U2 fans from across the world to come together and donate in support of Haiti.  It is hosted via BetterPlace.org which sends 100% of donated funds to the organisations the Team is supporting: CARE, Save the Children, and action medeor. Click here to go to the U2 Fans Team Page, join, and make your donation.   The minimum donation is one Euro, so even if you have already given via some other organisation why not give a little here too?  It will show that U2 fans can join together and make a difference.

  1. I'm not against donating to charities - on the contrary! But why has it always to be in the wake of a disaster? Consider this: http://tinyurl.com/y8ztljm

  2. I know what you mean but I think many people do give regularly on the quiet. I read the article you linked to, and it has some valid points. But I feel that, on this occasion, the sheer scale of this disaster completely outweighs those points.

  3. Yes, and to clarify, I'm not saying "don't donate"! Everyone should give as much as they can to all charities and organizations involved; the point is that those donations should be unconditional and not earmarked as for "Haiti". It's up to the organizations to decide where and how to spend the money. And I'm sure they will do their best for Haiti.
