I grew up with exotic birds, as far back as I can remember we had parrots and parrakeets in our house. My mother was bird mad. I've had birds myself but none for the last few years. Whilst in a pet store I saw a poster for Birdline Parrot Rescue, and I was intrigued. I thought about it for a while and then decided to get involved. The other day I had the "Safe House" check and all went well. A safe house is where birds are put immediately after being rescued, the length of their stay can vary. So now I'm just waiting for my first rescue bird, it's quite exciting!
