U2360° At The Rose Bowl DVD Details

U2360° At The Rose Bowl will be released in the UK on DVD and Blu-ray by Mercury Records on June 7, and in the US on June 3, 2010.

U2360° At The Rose Bowl was the penultimate gig of last year's U2360° Tour in support of their Grammy nominated album No Line on The Horizon. The Rose Bowl performance was the band's biggest show of 2009 and U2's biggest ever US show, with a live audience in excess of 97,000.

The show was also streamed across seven continents via YouTube. The first ever live streaming of a full-length stadium concert, U2360° at the Rose Bowl had over 10 million views on the channel in one week.

Shot entirely in HD, the concert was filmed with 27 cameras and directed by Tom Krueger who had previously worked on U23D, the first live action 3D concert movie taken from U2's Vertigo Tour.

Available in standard and 2-disc deluxe DVD formats (see below), U2360° At The Rose Bowl will also be U2's first concert available in Blu-ray. The deluxe formats and the Blu-ray will feature a new documentary called Squaring the Circle: Creating U2360° with new interviews from U2, Paul McGuinness and the team behind the touring production.

  1. Oh no, yaaawn! Not another boring U2 DVD release with bonus features of no interest. I never watch the older ones and will not buy this one. (I must confess that my relationship with U2 is rapidly dissolving. They should wake up and just stop it before becoming completely ridiculous. Last abum was good but there were better ones. I'd rather listen to Muse, Kings of Leon or Dresden Dolls these days. U2 are deceiving themselves if they think they are still on fire. They're middle-aged men with limited vision and overblown pretensions. They should do something completely new and original or retire. Other than that, they're a nice memory from days gone by.)

  2. I know what you mean, though I don't feel it as strongly as you do. U2 aren't on fire anymore, haven't been for a while. They are middle aged men who seems to be past their best creatively, yet seem to think they are still cutting edge, when they are really far from it now. There are still moments when the old magic is there, (Wembley 15th Aug being one) and that is a reminder of how brilliant they can be. They have done well lasting this long in a transient fickle business, maybe they need to think about an ending now.
